History I wanted to create a place to find the best FUN on each day of the year; a place to answer the questions "what are we going to do tonight/this weekend/on vacation?" I started with world holidays, thinking that Independence Day for each country would bring with it many celebrations. I looked for links to current information on the local celebrations, and found festivals, recreational events and other annual events. I began cataloging those, so I could add them to the calendar later. In 1998 I purchased the domain name Party Guide Online. I then felt compelled to add more "party" components to the directory, such as party suppliers, entertainers and other services related to entertaining. By now the guide had grown far beyond it's original goal. A normal person would have scaled back, checking each of the pages already there for bad links and perhaps deleting whole sections. Instead, I got help and we move forward - one page at a time. We are human "spiders" of the web, searching each of the links we've already found for links to other events and suppliers/service providers. The work is haphazard. Whether you call the result a cultural almanac, an entertainment portal, a multicultural calendar, a diversity calendar, an annual events guide, a destination directory or simply a massive undertaking, we hope you find it useful. We are a very small operation in Forney, Texas, United States of America. We are sharing Party Guide Online with you to save you time in your search for fun... time that can be spent celebrating! If you like what you see, please tell your friends!! Catherine Ziegler |
