What do you call a day to celebrate being able to celebrate?  A festival.  With such diverse themes as "covered bridge festival" and "taste of Dallas", the common thread is that the attendees are rejoicing.  The point of a festival is to be joyous, jovial and merry.  There will be feasting, gaiety and holiday activities.  Also included below are "fests," "fiestas" and other events not labeled "festival."
