•  Pamplin Park Civil War Site - combines the drama of those turbulent years of 1864 and 1865 with the technology of the 21st century to present Civil War history
•  Richmond National Battlefield - a symbol and prime psychological target throughout the Civil War
•  Sergeant Kirkland's Museum and Historical Society - seeks to preserve the values of those early members of society who displayed conviction and compassion in times of great peril in American history. Includes information on the publishing activities as well
•  Shiloh National Military Park - scene of the first major battle in the Western theater of the Civil War
•  Stratford Hall Plantation - historical Colonial house set on a high bluff above the Potomac River. It was the birthplace of Robert E. Lee
